August 29, 2005 - One of the most devastating and most serious natural disasters in United States' history hit the Gulf Coast Region. Destruction reached from Texas to Florida, with Louisiana and Mississippi taking the brunt of the blow. We here at Eastlawn as well as numerous of our members were severely impacted by this storm. Together with partner churches from all over the United States, Eastlawn continues to help rebuild for the congregation, community, and the church itself. The church had 4' of water inside the buildings. The photo gallery below is a reminder of God's power and Grace, as He brought so many Christians together to help rebuild each other's lives in the aftermath of this storm.
